ANZAC Day

As part of the 2017 ANZAC Day commemoration nine Year 10 students attended a commemoration ceremony at the Maygar Army Barracks on Camp Road, Broadmeadows. The ceremony was organised as part of the “Side by Side Project” and speakers included Victorian Member of Parliament Frank McGuire, president of the Collingwood Football Club Eddie McGuire and the CEO of the Essendon Football Club Xavier Campbell. In addition, there were representative from the Victorian RSL and French Government. Following the ceremony, students were able view a range of army vehicles and talk to current members of the Australian military as well as take part in an AFL activity.
